Part 15 of my Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Nintendo Switch) let's play - E3 Hot Takes!
In this episode, I explore even more of World 4, Sea Breeze Cove! I start off by entering level 4-5 Sea Stack Attack. The level takes place on land, and its filled with bombs and giant swinging death traps! Penguins throw bombs from the background, which you have to use to destroy boxes and the like. Then, I go into level 4-6 Current Capers, which is honestly one of the more forgettable levels in the game. It’s a water level, which is filled with switches which must be spun into. The main obstacles are giant urchins and giant spinning blades of death. It’s not as exciting as it sounds, unfortunately.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a video game developed by Retro Studios, a subsidiary of Nintendo, for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. It was released in 2014, and re released for the Switch in 2018. It is a sequel to Donkey Kong Country Returns, which originally released for the Wii in 2010. Tropical Freeze is a 2D platformer known for its beautiful backgrounds, well thought-out design, partner-based powerups, and phenomenal soundtrack composed by David Wise. It is, in my opinion, one of the best platformers ever made, and it is criminally underrated. That’s why I intend to show it off!
